On 6/14/2010 at 12:53pm, Fayetteville Police arrived at 807 Rock Springs Road and served arrest warrants originating out of Hoke County on Roy Dillon Garland. Once the residence was deemed safe, officers conducted a cursory search of the residence and located 126 Marijuana plants. Based on the marijuana being located, officers conducted a "seize and freeze" of the residence and applied for and were granted a warrant to search the property. During the search, officers discovered the following: · a marijuana growing room · 6,034 grams of marijuana · 15 firearms · a distillery· 22 quarts of Non-Tax Paid Liquor (moonshine) · more than 8,000 rounds of ammunition · $12,500 in cash. Additionally, a Toyota pickup truck, Honda 4 wheeler, Honda Tiller, Honda 998 Motor Cycle, Honda Pressure Washer and a Honda Generator were seized. Arrested in the incident are: - Roy Dillon Garland, 53, of 807 Rock Springs Road for 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, 2 counts of Felony Cruelty to Animals, Breaking, Entering and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Marijuana, Dangerous Drugs and Manufacturing Marijuana. Roy Garland was turned over to the Hoke County Sheriffs Office to have warrants served.
- Sidney William Garland, 48, of 807 Rock Springs Road for Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Marijuana, Manufacture of Marijuana and Maintaining a Dwelling at 807 Rock Springs Road.
