| The Alarm Ordinance does not count the following: Alarms activated by burglar or fire (as determined by responding officers). |

Alarms activated by adverse weather or acts of nature such as storms, lightening, ice, snow, earthquakes, floods, etc.  | ||||||||||
| Alarms activated by power outages, if proof of the power outage is shown within five business days of the incident. | ||||||||||

| Alarms activated by a mechanical malfunction, if proof of the malfunction is verified by a work order within 72 hours of the incident. | ||||||||||
