Police Encourage Safety During July Fourth Weekend
  

The Fayetteville Police Department encourages citizens to act responsibly while celebrating July Fourth weekend. Please observe these safety tips;

 
  • Never drink and drive or let your friends drink and drive
  • Appoint a designated driver
  • Report impaired drivers to your local law enforcement agency
  • Pyrotechnic fireworks are illegal to sell or use in North Carolina
Keep in mind that every 30 minutes, nearly 50 times a day, someone in America dies in an alcohol related crash. Violators face jail time, loss of license, higher insurance rates and numerous other unanticipated legal expenses, fines and court costs.-END-
